She was elected to her role at Graven Hill in 2015 whilst concurrently holding the post of Joint Chief Executive for both Cherwell District and South Northamptonshire Councils.

Mrs Smith’s award was made in recognition of her services to local government where she spent 37 years. She also has a passion for the construction industry and has extensive knowledge gained as a Non-Executive Director on national and regional regeneration and development companies.
Sue Smith left her post as Joint Chief Executive of Cherwell District and South Northamptonshire Councils in 2017.
