Graven Hill customers opting to buy from the Tailored Finish new build range can now access the government’s Help to Buy scheme. The scheme, introduced in 2013, has assisted with the purchase of over 120,000 new homes across the UK.

The Help to Buy scheme was launched at Graven Hill last Thursday (7th) at the official opening of the Plot Shop in Pioneer Square, Bicester. The shop was officially opened by housing minister Alok Sharma who was joined by Karen Curtin, Managing Director, Graven Hill, Sue Smith, Chairman, Graven Hill and Ian Corkin, Director of Graven Hill, Cllr Barry Wood, Leader of Cherwell District Council along with Cllr Ian Hudspeth, Leader of Oxfordshire County Council.
Karen Curtin said: “Launching the Help to Buy scheme has been a landmark event for Graven Hill. The vision has always been to make this an inclusive community that meets the range of needs and budgets of those who want to make their home in this idyllic setting.
“With a Help to Buy: Equity Loan the Government will lend customers up to 20% of the cost of their newly built home. Customers will then only need a 5% cash deposit and a 75% mortgage to make up the rest. We hope this latest development will encourage more people to discover how Graven Hill can turn their dream home into a reality.”

Housing and Planning Minister Alok Sharma said: “We need to get creative with how we build our housing in this country, to deliver more of the right homes in the places people want to live.

“That’s why it’s great news that developers like Graven Hill are making new custom build homes available for sale through Help to Buy: Equity Loan, so that more people than ever before will be able to purchase their very own tailor-made home.”
